Glioblastoma Awareness Day July 17, 2019

Thank you to Senator Lindsey Graham and others for the introduction of a bipartisan resolution designating July 17, 2019 as Glioblastoma Awareness Day. Glioblastoma Foundation is proud to lend it’s support to this resolution intended to increase awareness about glioblastoma and encourage further support for research for glioblastoma as well as for families and patients impacted by this devastating disease.

Each year glioblastoma takes the lives of over 14,000 Americans. The mission of Glioblastoma Foundation is to transform glioblastoma from the deadliest of tumors to a disease that is manageable and chronic, with effective treatments that not only prolong the quantity of life for glioblastoma patients, but also the quality. The current treatments, including surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy are not effective in the fight against glioblastoma. Immunotherapy is also not effective for a great majority of patients. Glioblastoma Foundation supports the development of new, cutting-edge therapies for glioblastoma that will work for all  patients and transform glioblastoma therapy.

Glioblastoma Foundation is excited to announce several key new initiatives in conjunction with Glioblastoma Awareness Day on July 17th.
